From 28th to 30th May the world’s aviation fuel community descended on beautiful Vienna to discuss the industry’s priorities, agree on actions to enhance efficiency and productivity, and better understand what the airline industry’s commitment to deliver on the net zero 2050 pledge means.
It was fantastic to attend and participate in the panel on “The Next Wave of SAF” with Oneiros Aerospace, Firefly Green Fuels and Airbus. Key takeaways from the panel included that it is time to deliver capacity and each stakeholder in the aviation ecosystem, ranging from project developers, airlines to regulators and financiers, has an important enabling role to play.
It also requires a long-term view to consider SAF investments, underpinned by trustworthy, yet pragmatic regulation and certification. Throughout the forum, there were many opportunities to exchange and share about our exciting technology development and commercialisation journey.
Following our press release in June on the progress of our first Pioneer project in Denmark, there was also interest to start specific discussions on offtake from this project.
